In the world of CNC engraving and relief carving, few software names carry as much weight as JDPaint . Developed by Beijing Jingdiao (now known as JDCNC), this software has been the silent powerhouse behind millions of 2D and 3D engravings. While newer versions exist, JDPaint 5.5 remains the most widely discussed, downloaded, and debated version on the internet.

Open a new model. Click the "A" text tool on the left toolbar. Type your text. Select a font (TTF support is built-in). Adjust size to 20mm.

Set the "F" value (Feed rate) to 300mm/min. Set "Total depth" to 0.5mm. Choose "One time depth" to cut in a single pass. jdpaint 5.5

A: JDPaint 5.5 does not auto-trace photos natively. You must use the "Vectorization" tool, or trace manually with splines.

A: Check your "Z-safe height" in the Toolpath parameters. If set to zero, the machine will drag the bit across the material.
